Laughton Barns is a romantic and rural wedding venue set in the heart of the Sussex South Downs, it is surrounded by 84 acres of lush greenery and two picturesque lakes, providing the a beautiful country wedding location.
There are several buildings at Laughton Barns. The Crown Barn where the wedding breakfast is usually set up and the The Apple Barn which is licensed for civil ceremonies and also has a marquee behind it.
The Crown Barn itself is a spacious area with that is very well kept and really suits rustic, vintage, shabby chic style weddings with lots of twinkly lights &country flowers! A typical barn wedding but with huge possibilities for putting your own stamp on it too.
The grounds are vast and offer so many amazing photo opportunities for the Bride & Groom. Its lovely to have fantastic countryside with a variety of photo options right on the door step of the wedding venue instead of having to find interesting stop off locations for some special Bride & Groom shots. The venue has two picturesque lakes and lots of trees, particularly the Willow down by the lake which help to create a setting for natural Bride & Groom shots that aren't to posed.
The large open door from the barn really creates an outdoor wedding feel for your Guests during the wedding breakfast and generally during the Reception. Even if the weather decided to not be on your side and it rained you would still be able to get that 'outdoorsy' wedding feel.
