It was great to photograph a wedding in our home town of Eastbourne in early June when we had the pleasure of working with Sue & Colin.
Sue & Colin's wedding was at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in the centre of Eastbourne town. It is a magnificent church with high ceilings and lots of opportunities for wide angle shots to take in all the splendour of the Church. Sam met Colin at the church for some 'before' shots with his Ushers & Best Man. Colin looked every bit the part in a smart Grey suit with a bright purple waistcoat and matching cravat. Colin wore a bright yellow Rose as his button hole as did his Ushers & Best Man. We had some fun getting shots of him with his Groomsmen before the ceremony kicked off.
Jason met Sue for bridal prep shots at The York House Hotel along the seafront in Eastbourne. Sue wore a floor length gown with a fitted bodice that went to a diamonte belt and a full skirt with lots of layers. She looked amazing! Sue carried a beautiful bouquet in the wedding theme colours of bright yellow and purple. Sue's Bridesmaids wore stunning bright purple cocktail length dresses with diamonte straps and her Page Boy wore a purple waist coat to match the Groom and the Flower Girl wore a cute white dress with purple flowers. Sue's hair was especially beautiful in loose curls and lots of pearls throughout it. The hairdresser did an amazing job!
The ceremony was lovely and soon the Bride & Groom made their way back up the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs! We had some formal group shots at the church and through a shower of confetti Sue & Colin made their exit to their Wedding Reception venue. Before they arrived at The York House Hotel for more celebrations we took them to Gildredge Park for some private Bride & Groom shots. We used the meadow flower & grass area to get some great shots of the couple in amongst it all and then took a stroll around the Park to get a variety of other shots.
After the wedding breakfast the weather was lovely (albeit a bit windy!) out on the beach outside the hotel and we joined the Bride & Groom and some of the Guests for some informal shots making the most of the beautiful early evening light and the lovely coast line of Eastbourne. We were able to get some great shots of the children at the wedding in particular playing on the beach.
Later Sue & Colin cut their mazing 'naked' wedding cake with an oriental twist and then took to the dance floor for their first dance.
We had a brilliant day with Sue & Colin and wish them all the very best for a life time of happiness together.
All the best
Jason
