The weather wasn't necessarily in our favour on the day of Sophie & Nik's wedding at St Stephen's Church in Shottermill but this did nothing to bring down the mood of this beautiful wedding of such a lovely couple.
Jason met Sophie for bridal prep shots at her parents house near to the Church and Sam met Nik for shots with his Groomsmen at the church before the ceremony. Sophie looked lovely in a simple lace dress with pretty shoulder detail and a full length skirt. Her Bridesmaids wore a really pretty shell pink colour and the dresses were cocktail length with lace detail to the cap sleeves and shoulders. The Groom and the Groomsmen wore dark Blue slim fit suits and had gypsophlia button holes which were a nice change from the 'norm' of Roses. The Flower girls wore pretty sequinned pink dresses and looked really cute.
Soon Sophie arrived at the church and it was all systems go with her being walked down the aisle by her very proud Dad. The ceremony was really lovely and the "I dos" were cheered on by all Sophie & Nik's very friendly family and friends in the Church. A really nice touch was the local school choir singing in the service and throwing the confetti after the ceremony.
We then moved onto Fitzleroi Barn in heavy rain and thunder but soon this cleared and the guests were then outside enjoying drinks in the courtyard at the Barn. The Bride & Groom had decorated the barn with lots of lovely country meadow flowers, "just married" bunting and lots of special touches like props for fun photos and favours of seeds for their guests. We helped with supplying a signing board with a photo from their engagement shoot.
After dinner we managed to sneak the couple off for some private Bride & Groom shots as the weather hadn't really allowed us to until then. We couldn't have asked for better light in the early August evening out in the golden fields of crops. The photos speak for themselves and the couple look amazing.
The evening continued with lots of dancing to the live band and great first dance photos.
We enjoyed a wonderful day of photography with Sophie & Nik and wish them all the very best for years of happiness.
