It was great to be back photographing at The East Sussex National in late October this year with Rachael and Shaun choosing it as their wedding venue. It was a lovely Autumnal day and the colours of the country side around The East Sussex National Hotel were beautiful and great for the photos.
Rachael and Shaun went for a musical theme using favourite classic West End Musicals as the names for the tables in the wedding breakfast room and adding little details like confetti cones wrapped in card with the music from the musicals printed on! The wedding breakfast room was beautifully decorated in simple white swaths of fabric and white chair covers with diamante details on the back. The centre pieces were large martini glasses filled with ivory and pink flowers. The cake took the theme of Mickey & Minnie (the ultimate couple!) from Disney!
Rachael looked absolutely amazing in a classic princess dress that was fitted at the waist and full flare to the floor. It had a simple but stunning neckline covered in diamante that sparkled both when Rachael was inside and even more so, outside in the photos! The Groom wore a smart slim cut grey suit with a light grey tie and ivory Rose button hole. Rachael's Bridesmaids wore floor length chiffon dresses in Dove Grey and Shaun's Groomsmen wore matching grey suits to the Groom.
The ceremony was lovely and soon Rachael & Shuan walked back up the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs and to a celebratory glass of bubbly! After having some time to greet their guests we took the couple outside to the beautiful grounds around the hotel for some private Bride & Groom shots. Jason tried his hand at driving the golf buggy while Rachael & Shaun followed behind - no accidents you'll be pleased to know! We got some great shots out on the golf course and over in the wooded area.
The day continued with some amusing speeches, plenty of laughs and a little embarrassment (has to be done!) and then the newly weds and their family and friends danced the night away to finish a wonderful day.
We had a great day and it was lovely to work with such a friendly couple and meet their family and friends. We wish Rachael & Shaun all the very best for a future of happiness.
