Naomi & Dave tied the knot on a mixed day of sunshine and heavy showers in July this year but this did nothing to dampen the celebrations! We have photographed at Crockstead many times but each time the team there manage to make the venue look completely different from the last and this wedding was no exception.
Naomi & Dave had gone for an unusual, vibrant purple and orange theme with an almost tropical flower selection for the button holes, chair backs, centre pieces and just about any where else they could pin a flower! It looked amazing! The day started with Jason meeting Naomi in the bridal prep suite at Crockstead and Sam meeting Dave for some before photos with his Groomsmen. We made the most of such pretty surroundings to get lots of slightly unusual detail shots of the wedding rings and the bridal dress in the rustic looking restaurant and lovely gardens with. Jason spent some time with Naomi and her bridal party getting some natural 'getting ready' shots of the morning of preparations and Sam 'lingered'(!) around while Dave was greeting his guests and putting finishing touches to the room decor, snapping natural shots while he wasn't looking! Dave was the first to admit he didn't like his photo taken and preferred natural shots!
The outfits for the day for the bridal party were nothing short of stunning. Naomi wore a gorgeous floor length ivory gown with lace and delicate diamonte details. The shoulders were sheer with pretty appliqué floral work. Naomi's Bridesmaid wore a floor length deep purple dress in chiffon and carried a matching bouquet to Naomi in the orange and purple flowers that were used throughout the decor.
Dave & his Groomsmen wore smart, slim fit navy suits with bright orange ties and had purple flower button holes.
As guests started to arrive we could tell it was going to be an amazingly happy day. Dave & Naomi had such friendly and family and friends. Soon it was time to start the ceremony and the guests began to gather outside in the picturesque gardens at Crockstead for the ceremony. Naomi was walked down the aisle by her very proud Dad and was ready to be given away when the heavens opened and we had to abandon the ceremony to the inside! A first for us in all our wedding photography history! Needless to say the ceremony continued indoors and soon Naomi & Dave walked back up the aisle as Mr & Mrs to lots of smiles and confetti throwing from their friends and family.
We let the Bride & Groom enjoy a celebratory drink and a mingle and then we took advantage of a dry spell and wandered outside to get some private shots of them. There are so many lovely photo opportunities at Crockstead but we made sure we had the couple back indoors to enjoy time with their guests before they were greeted with more cheers into their wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast room looked great with a purple and orange seating plan and table decorations to continue the theme throughout.
After the wedding breakfast the speeches started and had no shortage of laughs and cheers & happy tears! The guests enjoyed some much better weather in the early evening and were able to get outside for a little while, which meant we could get some lovely natural shots of the guests enjoying the surroundings and the children playing.
Later Naomi & Dave took to the dance floor for their first dance and were soon joined by their guests who certainly weren't dance floor shy!
We had a great day photographing Naomi & Dave's beautiful wedding and wish them all the very best for what will be a wonderful future together for sure!
Best
