We were back at Buxted Park in early September this year on a beautiful sunny day to photograph Kirsty & Joe's wedding. In all the years that we have been photographing at Buxted Park Hotel we have NEVER had an outdoor wedding so we were really excited to get some great shots at Kirsty & Joe's as they had decided to make the most of the lovely outdoor setting to have their ceremony.
Kirsty & Joe went for a beautifully simple theme for their wedding which reflected aspects of the things they love. Joe is a tree surgeon so they used that as some inspiration for their seating plan design and table decorations. They also included their love of Alice in Wonderland and used this as the theme for their amazing wedding cake. The decorations for the ceremony space were elegantly rustic with hessian ties to the chairs and a single pink Rose to each chair as further decoration.
Kirsty's choice of dress was just lovely. She decided on a simple statement dress which had sheer detailing to the shoulders and a cinched, sashed waist that went to a full floor length skirt. Her Bridesmaids wore a gorgeous lilac colour and carried smaller version of Kirsty's bouquet which was dusky pink and ivory flowers. Joe went for a stylish blue suit with a lilac tie, as did his Groomsmen.
The ceremony went without a hitch with some lovely readings and soon Kirsty & Joe walked back up the aisle with big smiles as the new Mr & Mrs. They had welcome drinks at the back of the hotel and mingled with their guests for a while. We then started the group shots and did a great confetti shot. We also got some lovely private shots in the grounds of Buxted Park, making the most of the stunning scenery.
Later there were lots of laughs and a few tears (happy tears!) during the speeches and then much later everyone took to the dance floor to continue the celebrations. I think it is safe to say that an amazing day was had by all and we were very grateful to be a part of such a magical day.
All the very best to Kirsty & Joe for a future of much happiness and most of all fun!
