Our second wedding of the year was at one of our favourite venues to photograph - Buxted Park Hotel. We were lucky enough to be photographing Kirsty & David's beautiful wedding. Kirsty & David were a fantastic couple and had put so much thought and energy into planing their amazing wedding at Buxted. There were masses of finer details that had been considered which definitely made for a brilliant day for them and their family and friends.
I joined Kirsty for some bridal prep shots at Buxted in the morning and then Sam met David & his Groomsmen for some shots before the ceremony out in the grounds. The weather was bright but blustery, this didn't put Kirsty or David off getting outside for shots though!
Kirsty looked beautiful in a very flattering slim line dress in lace with a low back and her Bridesmaids looked amazing in pretty pale apricot floor length dresses. David wore a navy slim fit suit with a pale pink tie as did his Groomsmen and had Rose button holes. The couples wedding party was completed with a cute Flower Girl dressed in ivory and a very sharp looking Page Boy in a matching navy suit to the Groomsmen.
The ceremony was in the lovely Orangery at Buxted which is so light and bright. The room was simply decorated with spring flowers and great touches like 'Reserved for...' hanging tags on the chairs. Soon it was time for the ceremony to start and Kirsty's Dad proudly walked her down the aisle to her future husband. The ceremony was extremely heart-felt and it wasn't long before Kirsty & David were walking back up the aisle as the newly weds to a very welcome celebratory drink waiting on hand by the great Buxted staff!
We took the Bride & Groom out for some private shots in the grounds and then whisked through the formal group shots. The wedding breakfast room was decorated with pink and ivory flowers and looked amazing. The speeches kicked off after dinner and were some of the best we had witnessed in a long time, very funny, touching and entertaining!
Kirsty & David soon cut their (cheese) cake and welcomed some evening guests, to then entertain them further with a choreographed first dance, which was brilliant!
We had a great day and wish Kirsty & David all the best for the happiest life together and thank them and their family and friends for being so welcoming on their wedding day.
All the best
Jason
