On what we like to describe as a beautifully WET day (because everyone's wedding day is beautiful no matter the weather!) we had the pleasure of photographing Emma & Dan's lovely wedding at East Hoathly Church and then onto Crockstead Farm for the Reception. We knew that the day would make for some great photos as Dan is in the Army and uniformed weddings are always great in photos!
Jason started the day by meeting Emma at her Parents house near to the church for some bridal preparation shots. Sam met Dan at Crockstead Farm where he was getting ready with his Groomsmen. Before we knew it the morning of preparations had flown by (as it always does!) and we were hot footing it to the church. It was really nice to be photographing in a church as so many couples opt for ceremonies at hotels etc. these days - it made a nice change. Emma looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle to find her Groom in a floor length strapless dress with diamonte beading to it. Her Bridesmaids wore a bordeaux pink and of course Dan was in his No.1s!
The rain wasn't on our side and decided to get just that bit heavier as the Bride & Groom walked out the church as the newly weds! Never mind though, we made the most of the pretty church and got some family shots indoors. By the time we had got to Crockstead Farm the weather held up a bit and we took the Bride & Groom off for some gorgeous shots in the grounds and made the most of umbrella props to get some 'rainy' shots as well!
A first for us at a wedding was the Morris Dancers that Emma & Dan had as entertainment for their guests! Made even better by the fact that one of the Morris Dancers was Emma's Mum! The day moved onto seating for the wedding breakfast and then lots of laughs in the speeches. Later everyone took to the dance floor to bust some moves and Emma changed into her sparkling Converse pumps and danced into the night! We had such a great day with Emma & Dan and their friends and family were so welcoming.
We wish you much happiness for the future.
Jason
